I initially wondered if this would be worth the money. But, I have a puppy who eats everything - including kindles. She ate the first one and I said to myself, I'll buy another and just be careful to put it out of her reach. Then she ate the second one! So, I bought a second one and added the insurance. She ate this one and, with the insurance, it was replaced with a new one. We call the 'puppy' (who is now a little over a year old) 'Jaws'. Hopefully, this third kindle won't go in her mouth. But, getting smarter, I bought a cover for it so that, if she puts her teeth on it, she'll just damage the cover.

I’ve purchased several square trade warranties over the years and they have always been amazing when I’ve needed to use it. This past week I attempted to charge my Kindle after not using it for several months. When I opened it the next morning the screen just showed a battery symbol with an ! inside it. After researching and attempting to trouble shoot, I realized it was toast. Called Amazon and no issues getting the replacement scheduled. My ONLY issue is the warranty has a guaranteed 2 day replacement and mine is supposed to take almost a week. Anyhow, I highly recommend buying the warranty.
